Helen Dickinson is Associate Professor Public Service Research at the University of New South Wales, Canberra, Australia. Much of my work relates to public services and public service reform, with a particular focus on the range of different types of relationships that exist within this context. Since 2010 I have been the co-editor of the Journal of Health, Organization and Management with Suzanne Robinson (Curtin University, Perth). JHOM is principally concerned with health organization and management research and its application in practice. It is an international forum for the exchange of innovative and methodologically diverse studies and analyses. JHOM supports the application of health organization and management research into practice from a diverse range of perspectives. JHOM provides an international forum for the exchange of innovative and methodologically diverse studies and analyses. JHOM doesn’t yet have an impact factor but we are part way through the assessment process and have our fingers crossed that we will receive good news soon.
I am also a member of the editorial collective for the Australian Journal of Public Administration with Janine O’Flynn (University of Melbourne), Maria Katsonis (Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet), Anne Tiernan (Griffith University) and Adrian Kay (Australia National University). The AJPA is aimed at a diverse readership and committed to the study and practice of public administration, public management and policy making. We encourage submissions from both public servants and academics and encourage a dialogue between these different groups.
